GLF Connect Autumn Event
Beginnings, endings & everything in between
Join fellow alumni and friends for a transformative evening of networking and connection.
You will have the opportunity to experience the latest thought-provoking and evocative MOD. exhibition FOREVER…
… experience time in new ways. Traverse past, present and future by navigating the blurred lines between these states of being. Look at the world, ourselves and our actions differently…enter a speculative world where the end is just a new beginning. With growing technology we could go beyond death, the job opportunities are endless…
The perfect backdrop to hear from our special guest speaker Distinguished Professor Marnie Hughes-Warrington AO. With a global profile as a philosopher and as an historian, her current work looks at how machines write histories, and the nature of AI as an historical discipline. A respected author, her writing has been translated into five languages and her theories are taught across the world. Marnie is the Provost & Chief Academic Officer at the University of South Australia, where she is responsible for the University’s academic strategy, excellence and success.
You will have time to explore the exhibition and also hear more about FOREVER from the Director of MOD. Dr Lisa Bailey.
